Headquartered in China (Hefei, Anhui Province) with North America sales and tech support office in USA (Los Angeles, CA), Wisdom Tech is a spin-off from the internationally renowned University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) which continues to provide R&D innovation and talented employees. The management team contains individuals with extensive entrepreneurial and managerial experiences.
The idea leading to ArcherQA® technologies originated from a research project started in 2009 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York) — the oldest engineering school in North America. The research was funded by a large number of highly competitive NSF and NIH grants (including several R01 and fast-track STTR/SBIR grants). The research and commercialization of the ArcherQA technologies took off at USTC (Hefei, Anhui).
Distinguished chair professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York) and recently at University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, China), known for work involving "phantoms","dosimetry" and "Monte Carlo computing". Published 2 books,300 journal papers and 600 conference abstracts mostly with 100 of his graduate students. PI of many grants including 5 NIH R01 and fast-track STTR/SBIR projects. Fellow of American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), American Nuclear Society (ANS), Health Physics Society (HPS), and American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), as well as a council member of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP) and a past president of the Council on Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards (CIRMS). Co-founder/president of several start-up companies in the United States and China. Avid traveler, golf player, reader and Chinese brush calligraphy artist.
ABR certified therapeutic physicist, AAPM fellow, Chair of Radiosurgery Society Physics Committee. Educated at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York). Served in a number of faculty positions in U.S. including: Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT); Chief of Physics and Associate Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Louisville (Louisville, KY) and Vice Chair for Physics and Professor, Department of Therapeutic Radiology, Yale University (New Haven, CT). Active in road/mountain biking and snow skiing /boarding.
Once an associate professor of nuclear science and technologies at University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, China), now a fulltime entrepreneur specializing in radiation treatment planning, inverse plan optimization, radiation therapy QA, software engineering and deep-learning as applied to RT. Developer and project leader for a number of commercial RT software projects. Liaison for collaborative RT projects involving clinical parties. Enjoy competitive sports and traveling.

More than 24 years of experience in marketing, holding increasingly responsible leadership positions in various organizations including China Legal Daily, a medical oxygen device company, Sun Nuclear (Hebei Province, China) and PTW (several provinces, Northern China). Senior member of the Radiological Radiation Protection Equipment and Measurements Committee of the Chinese Medical Equipment Association. Chinese brush calligraphy.
Completed B.S. from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) and M.S. and MBA degrees in the United States. 20+ years of experience in medical device industry working with Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups in the field of R&D, clinical and regulatory affairs and business operations. Leadership positions include the Chairman of the Board for the Tsinghua Alumni Association of Southern California and other non-profit organizations. Passionate about all outdoor activities in sunny California.
Originally trained for and employed as a neurosurgeon at the Chinese Aerospace Central Hospital (Beijing, China), Mr. Gao held senior managerial positions for international medical device companies including Elekta AB, China CMS Corp, Linatech LLC and Hong Kong based Ekpac Ltd. Ph.D. in nuclear science ad technologies from University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei, China), specializing in adaptive radiotherapy (ART) involving CBCT, MRI and other types of image-guided RT. Lead author of numerous journal papers on deep-learning as applied to RT systems, deformable image registration, automatic –multi-organ segmentation, and Monte Carlo de-noising. A devoted husband and young father.
